Therapy for Men
You made it. You’re here. And whether you came on your own or by force, you’re in the right place. Therapy gets a bad rap as something soft, emotional, and maybe even too much talking about feelings—but let’s be real, handling life, stress, and relationships like a pro takes more than just “toughing it out.” This isn’t about sitting in a circle and sharing your deepest secrets (unless you want to, no pressure).

Men need a different approach to therapy.
I work with men from a place of true change-making: helping with strength, ego, and helping to let your guard down in a comfortable way.
Men often feel stifled and suppressed in the roles they play in their lives.
I enjoy helping men notice the social and cultural pressures that are placed on them due to eurocentric beliefs, patriarchy and supremacy. I help them see that the pressure that oppressed folks experience in their daily life, men also feel in smaller degrees and in different way.
Not only does therapy help build acceptance for yourself and help with shame and ego, but in turn, working with a black woman therapist can open your perspectives and give you valuable insights you won’t get elsewhere.

Why work with a woman like me as your therapist?
I’ll give you three words: my own identity, strength and confidence.
I show up in the room at your level, meeting you where you are—because I carry a lot of the same attributes. My presence allows me to hold space in a way that feels protective, giving you room to lower your guard and actually heal. I build trust in small, consistent ways, so therapy doesn’t feel like a jarring, deep dive but rather a process that moves at a pace that works for you. We’ll keep it lighter when needed, go slower when necessary, but still get to the real work that leads to real change. I’m here to challenge you to take action outside of our sessions—because therapy isn’t just about showing up in the room, it’s about showing up in your life and for the people who matter most.
